Another inspired by tiny toys like myself, Morton Bartlett crafted lifelike dolls and photographed them with near obsessive passion. They are further into the uncanny valley than most doll photos I've seen, and for someone with no formal sculpture training, he seems to have done alright grabbing our attention with his creepy creations.
On another note, his dolls were found and displayed, continuing their purpose to exist for photographs beyond their creator's time.
